As part of the INDMET (Institutional Network for Design, Manufacturing Engineering Education and Training) Project’s capacity-building and academic training initiatives over the past five years, a total of twenty MSc students were admitted to pursue MSc studies in Manufacturing Engineering. Among them, all ten TVET teachers and industry engineers have successfully completed their studies, demonstrating the project’s strong contribution toward enhancing technical expertise and professional capacity in both academia and industry. In addition, five out of six staff members from Wollega University Institute of Technology have successfully completed their MSc programs.

One dropout case was recorded during the academic mobility program at University of Stavanger. Furthermore, three out of four scholarship-supported graduates from Wollega University Institute of Technology have also successfully completed their studies.

Overall, the MSc program achieved a 90% completion rate, which represents a remarkable accomplishment in postgraduate education, research training, and human capacity development under the INDMET Project. The achievement reflects the effectiveness of the project in supporting academic excellence, strengthening institutional capacity, and producing qualified professionals capable of contributing to technological innovation, industrial development, and higher education.

Under the MSc thesis defense program, three regular-program students and two summer-program students admitted through the INDMET Project have successfully defended their MSc theses in Manufacturing Engineering and completed their studies. The successful thesis defenses marked an important academic milestone and demonstrated the students’ research competence, commitment, and successful completion of the rigorous postgraduate training process.
The accomplishment further highlights the project’s continued contribution to producing skilled human resources and promoting applied research and advanced engineering education in Manufacturing Engineering.
