Call for Application for Admission to MSc Program at Wallaga University (Second Round)
Wollega University, College of Engineering and Technology invite applicants for MSc in Mechanical Design. The program is funded by NORHED II from NORAD through the INDMET (Institutional Network for Design and Manufacturing Education & Training) project, which is a collaboration project between University of Stavanger (UiS) in Norway, Wallaga and Jimma University in Ethiopia.
Three positions are vacant from September, 2022 for MSc study and selected candidates are fully funded for a two years study period. The applicants must be employees or recent graduates of Wallega University and must satisfy the admission requirements of Stavanger, Wallaga and Jimma University. The candidate must also sign a written agreement to complete the MSc program within two years and a written service agreement with Wallaga University for a period of twice the period funded by the project.
Qualification Requirements
To be considered for enrollment in this Master’s program, the applicant must meet up the following eligibility criteria:
- Employees or recent graduates of Wallaga University (2010 – 2014 E.C)
- Must have strong and relevant backgrounds in the Mechanical Engineering discipline
- Minimum CGPA 3.00 for female and 3.25 for male students.
- Pass entrance examination
Evaluation of Applications
Applying candidates’ academic achievements, entrance exam and presentation of BSc project work evaluated at Wallaga University. For the same qualifications and equal evaluation results, female candidates and candidates from emerging regions will be given priority. Selected candidates are salaried according to MSc scale for part of study spent at Wallaga University. For female student got mobility to UiS salaried according to the Norwegian MSc scale for one semester mobility programs.
