PhD Proposal Defense Conducted

Wollega University, Department of Mechanical engineering is pleased to announce the successful proposal defense of Mr. Robsan Abebe on November 25, 2025. His doctoral research explores the feasibility of Industry 4.0 applications in additive and sheet-forming manufacturing using machine learning techniques. The study will be conducted under the INDMET Project, in collaboration between Wollega University, Ethiopia, and the University of Stavanger, Norway.

The defense was supervised by Prof. Hirpa and Dr. Endalkachew Mosisa (Associate Professor).

The examination panel included:

  • Dr. Belete Sirabizu (Associate Professor) – External Examiner
  • Dr. Harish Kumar (Associate Professor) – Internal Examiner
